A momentary rise of reason constitutes a deliberated exercise in sanity and the absurd in the realm of the surreal. By means of basic, sparse compositions and frugal coloring, the artworks depict every-day stereotypes in which the strange detail contaminates the apparent reality with the absurd. The logic commands a reading from right to left, while the suggested substance of the story is no longer the foundation of the whole, but merely a guilty last brush- stroke, the author’s unconditioned reflex.

Descriptive Camera

post_7151-450x300.jpg
The Descriptive Camera works a lot like a regular camera—point it at subject and press the shutter button to capture the scene. However, instead of producing an image, this prototype outputs a text description of the scene. Modern digital cameras capture gobs of parsable metadata about photos such as the camera's settings, the location of the photo, the date, and time, but they don't output any information about the content of the photo. The Descriptive Camera only outputs the metadata about the content.

The Free Universal Construction Kit

The Free Universal Construction Kit (http://fffff.at/free-universal-construction-kit) is a collection of nearly 80 adapter bricks that enable complete interoperability between ten popular children's construction toys. By allowing any piece to mate with any other, the Kit encourages totally new forms of intercourse between otherwise closed systems -- enabling radically hybrid Constructivist play and the creation of heretofore impossible designs. (For example, one of the pieces adapts Legos® to Tinkertoys®.) As with other grassroots interoperability remedies, the Free Universal Construction Kit implements proprietary protocols in order to provide a public service unmet, or unmeetable, by corporate interests.

Terms and Information:
The Free Universal Construction Kit was conceived and developed by F.A.T. Lab and Sy-Lab in partnership with Adapterz LLC. Complete information about the Free Universal Construction Kit can be found at http://fffff.at/free-universal-construction-kit.

My fascination with motorcycles is not purely aesthetics… it’s the machine within the aesthetics, a part of technology that you interact with. Our streets stay about the same size but become more populated, which means pollution and traffic. That’s why I believe that a motorcycle and its evolution will become a key in the commuter world.

Nowadays my fascination with design has grown into every possible direction, from furniture to product design. My goal is to become a “universal” designer that can take any idea and create an elegant peace of art from that. My design philosophy? I believe in a well developed, elegant design that has a story, with history and passion to it. A design that is simple, clean and user friendly.
