Yes Yes Y'all + Channel Y
As more people begin to experience the web on TV and television shifts online - the new yesyesyall feels right at home. One of the first curated, passive experiences online. The site references what MTV once represented in terms of a vehicle of both enjoyment and discovery.

World War
Official website of the band World War, featuring music, videos, and artist information.
I twittered something about Bat for Lashes, then someone twittered me back about World War, and now I am posting it on Surfstation. Who knows where it will go next? The web is indeed a magical thing.

DJ Pogo - Upular
This DJ takes sounds and images from movies and remixes them. Here's his remixed video from the Pixar movie "Up", but he also does awesome videos with footage and sounds from the original Disney film "Alice in Wonderland" and Spielberg's "Hook". Look for them on the youtube side panel.

Quite the unusual collection, but I guess more and more people are putting time and effort into their wedding playlists. I've been to two in the last few years that sent me away with CD's.
Hi-Fi Weddings :: Your Wedding, Your Music
Here at Hi-Fi Weddings, we understand the importance of music at your wedding. From the song that you walk down the aisle to, until the very last dance we invite you to share your wedding playlist…or to gather ideas from other like-minded brides and grooms. And while we love music of all sounds and notes, we’d like to focus on those that want their wedding mix to be less “Top 40″ and more of music that is true to the soul.
Browse around if you’re on the hunt for some tunes, or submit your own mix if you’ve already done the deed! And if you’re a wedding vendor that likes what they see, contact me (hifiweddings@gmail.com) and let’s talk ads!

Project Song: Moby
NPR Music's Project Song challenges musicians to come to their studios and spend two days writing and recording a song so that the entire process can be documented.
Artists are given a piece of artwork, in this case a photograph, as inspiration and they immediately get to writing whatever comes to mind.
In most cases, the artist takes the full two days to dial everything in, but Moby and his collaborator Kelli Scarr managed to record three versions by the time their time was up.
