The evolution of music
With Apple's acquisition of LaLa yesterday, it's clear there is a shift happening in the way the Empire looks at music distribution. If so, we can look to the UK's Spotify as one of the trailblazers.
Spotify is a digital music service that gives you access to millions of songs.
Click to watch the video. It's not available in North America yet, and you need an invite. But you can easily figure out how to get it...
RIP - John Lennon
On the night of 8 December 1980, at around 10:50 pm, Mark David Chapman shot Lennon in the back four times in the entrance of the Dakota apartment building. Earlier that evening, Lennon had autographed a copy of Double Fantasy for Chapman who had been stalking Lennon since October.
One of the greatest artists and humanitarians that ever walked this earth died on this day 29 years ago.
RIP John Lennon

Ólafur Arnalds - Ljósið
Iceland born Ólafur Arnalds is only 22 years old. In April of 2009, he spent 7 days straight recording music. Using Twitter, each one of the 7 songs in "Found Songs" was released as they were recorded.
Esteban Diácono, a motion graphic artist from Buenos Aires was inspired by Ólafur's album and created this video using the track Ljósið.
Take a moment from an otherwise crazed day to appreciate the calm that this video bestows.
Ólafur does not have a website but you can keep tabs on him through http://www.myspace.com/olafurarnalds

Fleet Foxes on LA BLOGOTHEQUE
More brilliance from Vincent Moon. In my opinion there is nothing that compares in the world where music meets video. MTV is dead. Thankfully we have Vincent Moon to reinvent/reinvigorate the concept of "music video".
His camera-work/directorial-work is incredible, especially in the long takes where we zooms and weaves, spins and turns, ducks and hoovers. Incredible. Bravo!
Delta Spirit on LA BLOGOTHEQUE
Revisiting Vincent Moon's masterpiece that is La Blogotheque. Delta Spirit with one of their best songs.
