Where Design Meets Technology
Ten cutting-edge products at the frontiers of form and function.
Some great ideas in here. The bike might be my favorite and one that I think should be developed immediately. So strange that bike-safety hasn't been given more priority in design decisions.

One of the things we’ve really learnt over the last 20 years is that while people would often struggle to articulate why they like something - as consumers we are incredibly discerning, we sense where has been great care in the design, and when there is cynicism and greed. It’s one of the thing we’ve found really encouraging.
We don’t do focus groups - that is the job of the designer. It’s unfair to ask people who don’t have a sense of the opportunities of tomorrow from the context of today to design.

Here’s how they put it all together:
A safe holiday season to everyone. Take care.
We’re looking forward to getting some postcards.
Love everything about this. Makes me want to go work at SHW.

My friend Naomi makes these bags when she is not working in the art department on commercials. Lovely to see all these self-initiated alternate careers that people have these days. Kickstarter, bigcartel, and other ideas that reward great ideas and thoughtful execution are doing humanity a huge service.

Nostalgia for Simple Products?
Interesting and ironic product design trend ... how to simplify the complex multi-purpose device one owns and make it perform a dedicated product-like task? Does this provide some nostalgic peace of mind?
