I felt like the double rainbow guy while I was watching this. So beautiful.

FOTB 2010
This year's titles for FOTB were created by Nando Costa through the use of macro motion pictures and materials with magnetic properties.
The choice of materials was driven by the desire to graphically represent the concepts of attraction and repulsion. The idea that graphic artists of all sorts attend events such as FOTB because they are inspired and therefore attracted to each other's work, while at the same time often competing in the same fields as peers, which represents repulsion factor.

Love these juice containers. Much more enticing than the Minute-Maid ones we had to drink. I bet these taste better too.

Stuxnet Introduces the First Known Rootkit for Industrial Control Systems
In particular, Stuxnet hooks the programming software, which means that when someone uses the software to view code blocks on the PLC, the injected blocks are nowhere to be found. This is done by hooking enumeration, read, and write functions so that you can’t accidentally overwrite the hidden blocks as well.
People eat with their eyes first…If you have a restaurant that is appealing, contemporary, and relevant both from the street and interior, the food tastes better.
McDonald’s 2011 $2.4 Billion Makeover
The world’s largest chain of hamburger fast food restaurants is looking to revamp their menus, store design, and ordering experience. With a juicy budget of $2.4 billion, in 2011 McDonalds is set to rebuild 400 ‘domestic outposts’, refurbish 1,600 existing restaurants and create an extra 1000 to boot.
While this sounds like an incredible feat, I wonder if it actually means that McDonalds will be changing the quality of their food, food sourcing and business practices or if they're just using design to pull in people that wouldn't usually wouldn't be caught dead there. I'd like to think the former is the case, but feel as thought it will probably be the latter.
